Lush velvet dress by famed costume designer Jay Morley for Fern Violette. After costuming for Hollywood films in the 50s-60s, Jay Morley created his own line under Fern Violette in the 70s. This dress features a super flattering silhouette with an embellished fitted bodice. Metal couching embroidery trimmed in gold braid, strategic color blocking, and decorative filigree shank buttons create a refined take on a bohemian peasant-style dress. Lined bodice with short sleeves and button front opening with concealed center skirt zipper. We would wear draped with layering necklaces and flat strappy sandals for an effortless holiday look. Black, holly red, gold.

*Button button on bodice is loose (pictured); needs reinforcement, easily repairable.
